"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life... every child is an artist." - Pablo Picasso Grants Available for Teachers PCCY's Picasso Project (Project Summary) provides support for music, art, drama and dance for schools in the Philadelphia School District. Teachers who wish to give their students experiences in the arts that they might not otherwise have are invited to apply for grants to cover the costs of a project - in a classroom, at one grade level, or school-wide. Applicants are encouraged to partner with arts organizations.Every project must be well-defined and integrated into the curriculum. Teachers who apply for Picasso Grants will receive application guidelines including the criteria used to evaluate the merit of the proposed project, along with a directory of arts organizations. You can download a copy of the guidelines and application by clicking below. Applications must be postmarked no later than January 6, 2006. All project must be carried out by June 30, 2006.
