Give Kids A Smile
Ever have a toothache so painful it was hard to sleep? Now imagine having a mouthful of toothaches – and you’re only a kid. Many children in Philadelphia can’t smile, pay attention in school or sleep because of tooth decay. But help is available. As part of a national “Give Kids a Smile" event on February 3rd and 4th, local dentists and hygienists will offer free dental services to children from low income families as part of a national “Give Kids a Smile” event. “Give Kids A Smile” is a national initiative that involves dentists providing free care to children whose families experience difficulty accessing care. Because children need access to affordable, quality dental care everyday – not just on the days listed below – look below for "Dental Care Services for Children Everyday" for participating dental practices. Oral health education and giveaways will be provided at all of the health centers. Dental screenings will also be provided at Center #4 by the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine and at Center #5 by Keystone Mercy Health Plan. Aetna’s regional dental director and network management staff will also be on-site at Heath Center #6 from 11 – 2 to provide dental screenings and a puppet show for children. No appointments necessary.

The Care Mobile will provide comprehensive dental treatment to children 3 to 8 years old who are living at the Center. To schedule the Care Mobile for your organization or to make an appointment for your child on another day, call the number above.
